Your Settings page, field by field

One screen decides how every call you make behaves — what the lead hears, who gets texted, whether anything is recorded, and what your pipeline is called. Here is every field on it and what happens when you change it.

What this screen controls

Every other tab in DialRidge is where you work. Settings is where you decide how the work behaves. On a phone, a row of links at the top — Telephony, Numbers, CRM, Preferences, Pipeline, Billing — jumps straight to each section.

The sections fall into two groups. Telephony and your CRM are plumbing: you set them once, they either work or they don't, and each has its own guide. Everything after that is behaviour — what a lead hears before they are connected to you, what the ones who don't answer get texted, whether anything is recorded and what you say before it is, and what the stages of your own pipeline are called. That second group is the part nobody reads until something surprises them on a live call. Do it before your first dialing session, not during it.

1. Telephony (Twilio)

At the top, with a Status pill that reads connected once calling works. If a check has failed, the reason is shown right under the pill and stays there after a reload. Two choices:

Managed (DialRidge numbers) — type an area code and press Get my number. We hold the Twilio account; you never open it. If the account needs a card first, the screen offers Add a payment method. Detail: Managed numbers: Twilio, handled for you.

A number is not the softphone

Getting a number does not switch the browser softphone on — they are separate. To call from the browser, open the Dialer tab and press Connect softphone.

On a managed number, texting needs a one-time carrier registration. Fill in Enable texting (A2P registration) and press Register for texting. No EIN? Leave it blank — you are registered as a sole proprietor, and a code is texted to your mobile to confirm. Check registration status shows where it has got to. Voice works in the meantime.

Bring your own Twilio — the panel expands into credential fields. This is the right answer if you already have a Twilio account, need the number in your business's name, or are keeping a number you already advertise. The full path, including the parts inside Twilio, is in Connect your own Twilio account. What the DialRidge form asks for — required fields carry a red *:

Messaging Service SIDMGOptionalOnly needed for texting
Caller ID / sending number+1YesE.164: +15615550142, not (561) 555-0142

You need one credential pair, not both. Account SID plus either an API Key SID and Secret or your Auth Token. Use the API key where you can — it can be revoked on its own without disturbing anything else in your Twilio account.

Fill it in, test it, then save

  1. Fill in the Account SID and your credential pair

    Do not save yet.

  2. Press Test connection

It checks what is on screen against your live Twilio account — your credentials, that your TwiML app points at DialRidge, your Messaging Service if you gave one, and that your caller ID is a number your account can call from — and reports “Connection OK” with the number of checks passed, or names the field that failed. Pressing Test writes nothing.

  3. Pick from your own account

Once Test has read your account, the TwiML App SID, Messaging Service SID and Caller ID fields get a Choose from your Twilio account… dropdown. A TwiML app that points somewhere other than DialRidge is marked ⚠ with the address it points at. You can still type a value instead.

  4. Fix whatever it names

Each problem appears under the field it belongs to.

  5. Press Save telephony

The TwiML app

It has to exist inside your own Twilio account, and its Voice Request URL has to point back at DialRidge — the exact address is printed on the Settings screen:

https://api.dialridge.app/twilio/voice-direct method: POST

Point it anywhere else and the softphone is wired to a different service, which looks exactly like “DialRidge can't make calls.” Rather than build it by hand, press Create the TwiML app for me. It explains what it will do, and only on Yes, create it does it create an app called DialRidge Softphone in your Twilio account. That is the only change DialRidge makes to your Twilio account; it never edits or deletes anything you already have, and pressing it twice reuses the same app. It fills the field for you — press Save telephony to keep it.

Your number's own incoming-call setting

Separately from the TwiML app, your phone number has a setting for calls coming in. In Twilio Console › Phone Numbers › your number › Voice Configuration, set A call comes in to:

https://api.dialridge.app/twilio/voice-inbound method: POST

That forwards a lead who calls you back to your press-1 callback number. Do not use the TwiML app address there — on the number, it makes the call ring back into itself. Test connection tells you where your number's incoming calls currently go. On a managed number this is set for you.

Two habits worth forming

When something is wrong

What you seeWhat it means
Under TwiML App SID, a website that is not DialRidgeThe app exists, but its Voice Request URL points somewhere else. Fix the URL in Twilio, or use Create the TwiML app for me.
“These two look swapped” on Account SID and API Key SIDThe AC value and the SK value are in each other's boxes.
“This usually starts AP…” (or AC, SK, MG)The value was copied from the wrong place in Twilio.
Under Caller ID, a message about E.164Add the + and country code, and take out brackets, spaces and dashes.

2. Managed numbers & billing

Lists the numbers DialRidge provisioned for you, whether each is registered for texting, and the monthly charge per number. Release takes two clicks: the first explains that releasing stops that number's charge, the second does it. If the number count and your billing ever disagree, the card says so and offers Resync billing.

3. CRM connections

Agile CRM connects today. Press Connect and give it three things: your Agile subdomain (just yourco, not the full address), the email you sign in to Agile with — often not your work email — and the REST API key from Agile's Admin Settings › Developers & API. The Javascript API key on that same page will not work. DialRidge checks the credentials as it saves them. Once connected, Test connection re-checks what is stored without retyping anything, and if a check fails the reason sits under the Agile row. Walkthrough: Link Agile CRM to DialRidge.

GoHighLevel, Zoho CRM and HubSpot appear as rows. They are in progress and not live yet. If you are on one of those today, use the built-in CRM — see Manage your contacts.

4. Preferences

Defaults for the Dialer, the SMS follow-up and the press-1 bridge. This block has its own Save preferences button, separate from telephony.

FieldWhat it does
Your name (agent) · Company nameWho you are, for the places DialRidge uses it on your behalf.
Press-1 callback numberIn +1 format. The phone that rings when a lead presses 1 — and where a lead who calls your number back is forwarded. Get this wrong and the bridge dials a stranger, so check it twice.
VoiceThe text-to-speech voice that reads your press-1 intro and your recording disclosure.
Auto-dial delay (ms)The gap between one call ending and the next starting in auto-dial. It defaults to 3000, three seconds. Most people end up lengthening it rather than shortening it.
Default contact tagOptional. The tag DialRidge fills in when you load contacts from your CRM, on Contacts and on the Dialer. A successful fetch remembers the tag you used.

Press-1 intro

The line the lead hears before they are asked to press 1. Left empty, calls use:

Hi, this is a quick call. Press 1 to connect with an agent now.

Replace it. That sentence identifies nobody, and it is the first thing a stranger hears from you. Say who you are and why you are calling, in one breath, and then ask. You write this line. DialRidge does not write it, check it, or know what your state or your broker requires of you.

Hear it before a lead does

Two buttons sit under the intro, and both use exactly what is typed in the box right now, saved or not, in the voice you have selected:

SMS follow-up template

What gets texted to a lead who doesn't answer. {name} is replaced with their first name. Rewrite it so it says who you are — a text from an unknown number that doesn't identify the sender reads as spam to the recipient and to the carrier.

Auto-text leads who don't answer

The dialer default for turning the template above into something that happens automatically. You can still switch it on or off per session on the Dialer. Before you turn it on: whether you are permitted to text a person who did not answer is a question about your consent record, not about this switch.

5. The press-1 intro in your own voice

Under Preferences there is a recorder. Name a take, press ● Record, read your intro, press ■ Stop, play it back, then Save to library. Tick Use my recorded voice for the press-1 intro.

You can keep several named recordings. The one marked playing is the one press-1 calls use; pick another to switch, or Delete any of them. A saved list can also choose its own recording — see saved lists. If the tick is off, or no recording is saved, calls fall back to the typed intro read by the voice you picked above. Recording needs a browser that supports it; the screen tells you if yours doesn't.

6. Call recording

Off by default, both switches. Two of them, because they are different calls:

Recording disclosure — the line spoken to the other party before a recorded call connects. It has the same ▶ Listen and 📞 Call my phone buttons as the intro. You write this line, because you are the one who knows what your jurisdiction requires. Many states require all-party consent; Florida is one of them. DialRidge plays what you wrote — it does not author the disclosure, does not check it against any law, and does not decide which states you are calling into.

Keep recordings for — a dropdown. The default keeps recordings for as long as your account is open; it also offers several fixed windows. Recordings older than the window you choose are deleted automatically, permanently, with no grace period and no undo.

7. Your pipeline

The stages a contact moves through, in your words and your order.

Stages marked linked are the ones call outcomes move contacts to. Renaming a linked stage is safe — the link follows the stage, not its label.

8. Billing & plan

Your plan, its status, and the buttons to choose or change it. Checkout and card management are handled by Stripe; where it is shown, Manage billing / payment method opens Stripe's portal. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Before your first dialing session

  1. Telephony

A managed number, or your own Twilio: fill it in, Test connection, then save.

  2. Press-1 callback number

The phone that should actually ring, in +1 format.

  3. Press-1 intro

Replace the placeholder with who you are — then press 📞 Call my phone and hear it.

  4. Record it in your own voice

    And tick the box.

  5. SMS template

Rewrite it so it names you, and decide whether auto-text is on.

  6. Recording

Leave it off, or turn it on and write your disclosure first.

  7. Pipeline

Rename anything that isn't what you'd call it.

Everything else can wait until something makes you want to change it.

Where the line sits

DialRidge is outbound calling software for licensed real estate and insurance professionals. It is not a compliance service: consent, do-not-call obligations, calling hours and recording disclosure are yours. Nothing here is legal advice.
