Short version: everything here lives on the Contacts tab. Add people by typing them in, importing a CSV, or fetching a tag from your CRM. Filter by stage, tag or search, then press Save as list — that list appears in the Dialer, ready to call. Open any contact to change their stage, add a callback, and see every call and text on their timeline.

1. Three ways to add contacts

At the top of Contacts: Add contacts from — Type one in · Import CSV · Load from CRM.

SourceBest for
Type one in (or + Add contact)A single lead: first name, last name, phone in +1 format, email and company. Second phone, second email and a full address go on the contact's record afterwards.
Import CSVA spreadsheet you already have. Walks you through matching your columns before anything is written.
Load from CRMPeople who carry a tag in your connected CRM — today, Agile CRM.

2. Import a CSV

Four screens, and nothing is written until the last one.

  1. Upload

Choose your file. Not sure of the format? Download the template — it is built from your own fields, custom ones included. A column that holds more than one value, like tags, separates them with semicolons: seller;waterfront;2026-Q4.

  2. Match your columns

DialRidge shows each of your column headers with a sample value and its best guess at where it goes. Change any match, turn a column into a new custom field, or ignore it. A header that looks like a typo is flagged with what it probably meant.

  3. New stages found

Only appears if your file names stages that are not in your pipeline. For each one choose Create it, Use existing (pick the stage it should be), or Import without a stage. Tags never appear here — they are created automatically.

  4. Ready to import

You see how many contacts will be created and how many updated, which columns are being ignored, and which rows will be skipped and why. Press Import.

Rows that could not be imported can be downloaded afterwards as a file with your own columns plus a reason column — fix them and upload that file again. Re-uploading updates the contacts already imported rather than creating copies.

Clearing do-not-call takes a deliberate tick

If your file has a do-not-call column, setting the flag always works. A file that would clear the flag on someone who has it is held back unless you tick Allow this file to clear do-not-call on the last screen. Leave it unticked unless you are sure — clearing it is how somebody gets called after asking you to stop.

3. Fetch from your CRM by tag

With Agile CRM connected in Settings › CRM connections:

  1. Press Load from CRM

A Tag in your CRM box opens, pre-filled with your default contact tag if you have set one.

  2. Type the tag and press Fetch from CRM

DialRidge reads the Agile contacts carrying that tag, adds or updates them here, and tells you exactly what happened — how many were loaded, how many were new and how many updated.

  3. Filter by the list tag to see them

Fetched contacts carry a list tag made from the CRM and your tag, such as agile:dial-list. Pick it in the Tag filter, then save it as a list — or load the same tag straight from the Dialer.

Fetching again replaces who is on that CRM list. It never deletes a contact, and anything you typed or imported is untouched. If nobody carries the tag, you are told so plainly — an empty tag and a failed fetch read differently. If the fetch fails, the message says why — Agile rejecting the credentials, rate-limiting the request, or not responding. When Agile rejects the credentials, the Agile row in Settings › CRM connections shows that too.

4. Find the people you want

Three filters sit above the table and combine:

Export CSV downloads the contacts matching the stage, tag and search you have set — handy for exporting the exact group you are about to call.

5. A contact's record

Click a row to open it.

6. Saved lists

  1. Set your filters

Any combination of stage, tag and search.

  2. Press Save as list and name it

The list saves the filter, not a frozen set of people — so a list of “Follow up, tagged seller” picks up whoever matches when you load it.

  3. Load it in the Dialer

It appears under Saved list on the Dialer. See Run a dialing session.

Once you have recorded press-1 greetings in Settings, each saved list gets a plays dropdown: choose which recording that list's press-1 calls play, or leave it on Default greeting. Delete removes the list, never the contacts on it.

7. Stages and tags are different things

StageTag
How manyOne per contactAny number
OrderYes — your pipeline order, which Advance followsNo
Where you manage themSettings › Your pipeline: rename, reorder, add, retireThey arrive with a CSV import or a CRM fetch
Answers“Where is this person in my process?”“Which group or source is this person in?”

Tapping an outcome in the Dialer can move a contact's stage. It does not change their tags.

8. The do-not-call flag

A contact can carry a do-not-call flag — for example from the do-not-call column of a CSV import. It is shown on the contact's record as Do not contact. There is no button on the record to set or clear it by hand. Contacts flagged do-not-call are skipped when you load a saved list, or load from your CRM by tag, into the Dialer.

It is a flag you maintain, not a scrub

DialRidge does not check your contacts against any do-not-call registry, and the Dialer's Load new leads, Load due callbacks and pasted numbers do not look at the flag at all. Consent, do-not-call obligations and calling hours are yours.

Troubleshooting

SymptomAlmost always
The Tag filter says No tags yetNo contact carries a tag. Import a CSV with a tags column, or fetch a tag from your CRM.
“Enter a tag first” on Fetch from CRMThe box is empty and no default contact tag is saved in Settings › Preferences.
Fetched contacts are not in the tableA filter from before is still set. Pick the agile:… tag, or clear the filters.
A saved list loads fewer people than the table showsContacts without a phone number, and contacts flagged do-not-call, are left out when a list is loaded to dial.
Import made new stages you did not wantOn the New stages found screen, choose Use existing for near-misses. Stages you did not mean to keep can be retired in Settings.
